Simposio de Estadistica Espacial y Modelamiento de Imagenes.
The aim of this meeting is to gather people working in spatial statistics and image processing mainly in South America (but not limited to). The idea arose out in a 2006 conversation among Silvia Ojeda, Oscar Bustos and Ronny Vallejos but followed the suggestion of several researchers from Argentina, Chile and Brazil. The meetings started in 2008 and have been held in Valparaiso, Chile, Cordoba, Argentina and Foz do Iguazu, Brasil.
